||An SFS Design Manager is required to join one of Kent’s foremost employers – a business that is continually striving towards excellence through product innovation and customer satisfaction.
In what is a newly created role, the incoming candidate will be accountable for managing the Steel Frame Systems design process, as well as technical troubleshooting and aftercare (liaising with site-based customers and contractors). Heading up a small team of two Design Engineers, the post holder will aid in the development of products and services the business can offer their existing client base.
Proven experience within 2D and 3D design is required in order to use a bespoke design package affiliated with the industry (Autodesk Revit would be advantageous but not essential). A Degree education within a technical discipline is required (preferably within structural engineering – or at least exposure to structural engineering is needed).
Candidates must have the ability to work autonomously and undertake business critical decisions. You will be commercially astute and be conscious of margins and profitability, proactively looking to increase and maximise business opportunities wherever possible. Expert communication skills are needed in order to manage the small team and delegate work accordingly.
